Life of a leaf

It was an accident that I chose the theme 'Leaf' for this post. I had four pictures in hand and I was trying different combinations as to how to sequence them. Suddely an idea striked. The snaps best depicted the life of a leaf in the BIM campus.

It is a practise in the hostel to fire heaps of dry leaves in the morning. In my previous posts I had some snaps of fresh green leaves that decorated and coloured our campus. This green part of the life of any leaf  is very obvious and highly noticeable. But have we ever lent our attention towards what happens to all these leaves as the time progresses?.

"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". And to my eyes these dried leaves meant beauty.

The fire made a good subject to my camera as it had a well balanced colour composition.

Aperture:  f/4

There is still hope, as I saw sprouts of green herbs peeping out amidst the fire ahead.

Exposure: 1/20 sec

This single leaf caught my attention by its majestic pose. A good escape!

Enough of damage already made.
